First time incubators

Hello,

Today is day 22, I have done the float test and candle them because there was no signs of movement or piping. There are 4 I can see more in the water and feel it move in the egg. 5 they float low in the water. I am wondering will they still pipe through, is there a chance?

These are chicken eggs?
Put them back in the incubator and wait. At day 22 I would not have even messed with them.

TBH I am uncomfortable with the float test for anything you aren't going to eat regardless of how far along we are because that egg shell is porous and permeable... I try not to get them wet or mess with the bloom. Best of luck.

Do you have a candler? I wouldn't recommend the float test since, the chicks can drown if there's a crack in the shell.

What incubator are you using?

Also, are you using separate calibrated thermometers, & hygrometers to monitor conditions inside the incubator?

I do have one and my humidity goes up and down but heat is consistent

They are quail eggs and maybe we got to nervous

Quail eggs can be trickier then chicken eggs when it comes to candling.
