We are excited that our first time Mumma did so well sitting on her eggs. We only allowed her 5.

This morning 2 have hatched and are doing well.

They are in the coop in a closed off area so the other ladies can't get in and disturb them.

We arent 100% sure if the other 3 will hatch we will see over the next couple of days.

We were certain when we candled around the 18 days they had died. So to hear chirping this morning and find a fluffy was just amazing!

We do have a brooder if we need to separate but hoping we can allow mumma to do her thing!!!

Babies and Mumma have been doing well. Only 2 of the 4 fertilised eggs survived. The last 2 were dead when we cracked them.

This is broody mumma and babies. The 3 that we know laid the eggs as well. And our boy who has moved on.

He was a silkie cross and the ladies Isa Browns and Australorps.

The babies are Coco and Chanel.

Chanel is the one with the gorgeous wing colouring. Coco has no colour pattern.

We don't know how to vent sex them so I guess will be a wait and see. But they are both just over a week old!
