Hi, I am planning to order a&m texas eggs next month only about 15. I have heard good things about James Marie farms, have any of you purchased from them or have any other recommendations? This will be my 1st time hatching getting excited! Thanks in advance for your replies.

I just ordered our first hatching eggs too and they are from JMF. I called and talked to Robby for at least a half hour. He was so helpful and full of information. We are expecting them in a couple of weeks. I've only read good things about JMF and after talking yo Robby I can see why.

Thanks for your reply. Good luck , what kind of incubator will you be using I havnt purchased one yet. I plan to order my eggs in mid May so I can get started in June when the weather will be warmer,I live in Delaware. Where are you located? What kind did you order?
sorry for all the questions I am new to this and want get all the info I can. Thanks again looking forward to hearing from you.

ChickenGarden,
If you can add anything to this post from your conversation with the King of Quail, it would be greatly appreciated. I think this thread would be a great reference source for anyone wanting to hatch quail.

I ordered a hovabator still air. I read good things about it, pretty inexpensive and I'm home enough to turn eggs and check temps throughout the day. We are in Washington state so our weather is probably more mild than Delaware now :)
Robby asked what we're looking for in quaill, meat, eggs or pets. Since we are going to raise them for eggs/pets. He recommended several breeds and he is even mixing the eggs for us, he offered that which I thought was really nice. I will have to find my list that has the breeds. He assured me they were docile and good egg layers.
Bush good luck to you!
James on that list I wrote lots of notes. I will try and add to that thread in the next day or so. He was so nice, told me about his family and how he named his farm.
