First Time Quail Owner - Cortunix

We are new to raising quail or any other type of bird. Today we picked up 11 Cortunix...3 males and 8 females. First, is that ratio? Second, since they were already laying will they continue to keep laying without much delay or will they need some time to get use to their new home? We were given 1 egg too. How long can the eggs keep before they need to go in the incubator?

Well the question about whether or not they need to get use to their new home has been answered. we've had them about 2 hours and just found an egg.
