is there anything special I need to do for my babies? I’ve been putting water and vitamins in their chick starter food, and they love it wet. Any other tips for my 2 hen babies?

Here is my babies ❤️

I have learned, I don’t need do anything different than you would with any other chicken after all they are a chicken just with a different feather structure. Lots of great information on this site and all pertains to Silkies. Keep them dry because their feathers won’t shed water like hard feathers do. As they get older I sometimes have to pluck or trim some feathers around their eyes so they can see better. I feed them fresh quality chicken feed(20% protein all flock, chick starter or gamebird grower) sometimes treats like mealworms, alfalfa, sprouted grains, scrambled eggs and fresh veggies. If you have a good feed that is fresh or not too many treats you don’t need all the extra vitamins supplements. Just enjoy them.
