Hi everyone!

im new to having a broody chicken so we bought her some fertilized eggs and she has been sat on them for nearly 2 weeks now only getting off for a quick wander round and food and drink, im wondering what im meant to do with the chicks when they hatch out of the eggs? i dont want to take them off spekeldy but dont want them to be cold, will she sit on them to keep them warm? ive heard mother chickens are very prottective of their chicks so i dont want to upset her, she is sat on the eggs in a shared nesting box but she has a section just for her.
Thanks!

If she's sat this long, she will most likely stay til they hatch. You don't really have to do anything. If she is a good Mama she will take care of her chicks, raise them, and protect them from any hostile chickens in the flock.

Some people separate them mama and chicks when they chicks hatch just to be sure the chicks are safe, and some feel it is better to let nature take its course so we know which ones make good mamas.

Here is a good article:
