first time using incubator

I just got a used incubator and have no instructions. it come with a small thermometer do I put this inside beside the eggs. do I need to get incubator warm before putting eggs in.

You need to let the incubator warm up to 99.5 and wait at least 24 hours (to make sure the incubator is stable)
