I do believe one of my rouen hens wants to sit on eggs.. Yay! But she picked a busy nesting site. Do you think if I move her somewhere secluded, away from other hens who want to lay, she'll continue to sit?
Also everytime I get close to her she does this weird thing with her bill at me then hops off the nest. My ducks don't like to be touched... I'm thinking I could just pen off that one area she's in. Sound good? I think she's got 7 eggs under her too, not all hers, other rouens and runner duck eggs.
Any advice, experience, pictures of broody duck pens/enclosures would be of great help!

If you want ducklings I wouldn't try to move her. Just fence off where she is at with food and water. Or let her out a couple times a day to eat bathe and walk around. Good luck and let us know how it goes..

Ah. I'll keep a close eye on her. When she was sitting on them 2 days ago, she pulled out some of her feathers and placed them around the eggs. The other ducks don't do this when they lay.

Sounds like she is getting serious. Probably won't be long.
