I read the threads in this forum regarding how long is too long to wait before incubating. My query is a little different:
I’m wondering how long should I have to wait before putting my eggs in an incubator? I’ve been saving my eggs (I only have 6 hens and they’re not consistent layers) for 5 days now. I fired the incubator up Saturday so it would be all set to go. I gathered my last batch of eggs I’m wanting to hatch out this morning and added them to the others. Can I put them all in the incubator tonight or should I wait until tomorrow?
Thanks so much!

If they're your eggs, and you've got the number of eggs you want to incubate, go ahead and put them in. Shipped eggs need to rest, home raised eggs really don't have to. I've popped in fresh laid eggs and as long as they're fertile they can hatch.

Awesome! Thanks so much...they’re from my hens but wasn’t quite sure if they needed to “rest” before putting them in.
