well I just did my first hatch ever and it happened to be ducks. I am also using an LG still air and turning the eggs by hand. I am no expert but I will tell you what I did and all my babies hatched out.
I put my LG in a room that has very stable temps - LG's are funny about the air temp around them.
if your area has real dry weather you might have a problem with Humidity - I filled all my wells in the bottom, I also put in a swallow dish with a rolled up washcloth ( change it everyother day or it will smell musty ).
I was told that waterfowl eggs should be misted once a day I found it easier to place them on a wet washcloth and when you turn the it will get the egg moist - also change that every other day.
get your self on a turning routine that way it will help you remember when you turned them - I did it first thing in the morning, afternoon, eveing.
I ran my temps just alittle lower than what is normal - make sure you have a surge protector.
alos before you set up your bator put a towel under it - this helps for the oops overflow of water !! i learned the hard way.
just keep an eye on your temps - my LG spiked twice on my first hatch and I lost all the eggs - but I did much better second time around.
and than just sit back and wait......wait....and wait some more LOL
good luck - if you need any help PM me - I will try to help the best I can.
