We have hatched chickens 3 times (and 2 peachicks), but these are our first duck eggs. We bought them at a small, local auction and all we know are that they are "hybrid" ducks....

They have incubated in an LG, auto turner and fan at 99.5.

Lockdown was last night - day 25 - so hatching due to start tomorrow maybe or Sat.

We filled the wells full of water. Didn't change the temperature. Forgot to take extra plug out ..... going to do that now....

Should we add water? How? Should we leave the temperature alone or reduce? If so, what temperature do we change it to? Is it too late? Will the same chick feeder and waterer work for ducks? We use a see thru storage bin with a heat lamp, pine chips, white top/red bottom plastic waterer and feeder. Do we leave ducks alone til they all hatch or take out when they dry?

Any other helpful hints appreciated.

(I don't have a hygrometer. Have had major medical bills and budget is tight at the moment. Eggs have been hatching ok - but is there anything else I can be doing to make sure to the best of my ability that humidity is roughly where it should be? **No one around here carries hygrometers - too much going on to keep up with ordering one right now)

Thanks! Sorry for the number of questions. I have an 8 yo with a tummy ache and a temperature and not much time to search!
