We bought 4 pullet chicks last week (as of today they are Two weeks old) Due to financial stress we currently can't afford a 500.00 or even 200.00 pre fabricated coop. So with all this time and confinement I want to use all my extra wood that my father in law and current housing projects in the area where i picked up lumber currently have at my house. Currently in my possesion:

Plenty of 2x4 various lengths from 4 to 6 ft
Plenty of 1x3 and other various cuts
3/4 in plywood
1-4x8
1- 4x5.2
1- 4x 5

I plan on building it using a section of my fence as the back and cutting a hole on the other side of the fence to collect the eggs (I am attaching the nesting boxes to the fence)

The Wheel barrow side is the side to collect the eggs. The other side is where the coop will be, all adjacent sides of the fence is my property with a total of an acre of land. I am going to build them a run that will be 10' long and 10'wide

I'd look for pallets. There usually free. Lots of pallet coop ideas in the articles section. You've got the 2by's to hook them together. Buddy of mine made a shed from pallets endless pools came on. Pool store was happy to see them go.
