First timer hatching babies: I’m freaking OUT! Talk me down!!!

OK. Talk me down. I thought all my babies died in their eggs and I had one chick hatch, and I got so excited I HAD to do something so I candled the other eggs and marked the air sack.

I promise not to do anything more. I hope I didn‘t hurt them.

And now I wait. And I’m so excited! But I know, I need to wait. BUT DAMN THIS IS SO HAAAARD!!! Talk me down. Give me wisdom. Thank you.

You're fine!
Lockdown is important, but very brief interruptions are necessary, and would happen in nature. It's just important to keep that humidity up nearing hatching.
Have the other eggs pipped (internally/externally)??
Is the new chick drying? Probably too cute! Is your brooder ready?

Omg. NO! I need to get a brooder ready. Should I play music for them? Like nature sounds? Or calming? Or something inspiring like the Raiders of the Lost Ark theme?

I've seen where some have played chirping and peeping noises (or noises their mom would make).
If you have the one that already hatched, you need to set up the brooder! And assume more are coming. The new little one might need attention as well. They like being part of a flock.

Set up your brooder. Sit on your hands. Don't open the incubator yet. The little one in there should be fine for at least another day, and it's chirping will encourage the others. IF you have a couple more hatch, and they start getting too active on the eggs, very quickly remove one at a time, as fast as you can, waiting until the temp, and especially the humidity are back up, to remove the next one. It's very important to keep the incubator closed, and the humidity up now.
