First timer incubating eggs

Hi All,

I have 3 chickens (Isa browns) which I got in March at about a yr old.





Now I have decided it is time to add to my little flock and want to add a couple of black Australorps. But then I thought why not hatch some myself. Now I have an incubator with 12 Australorp eggs which were set on Thursday 18/8/16 (I couldn't just put in a few).


I have found myself spending an inordinate amount of time reading about raising chicks & the use of incubators when I came across BYC. Couldn't help but join
