We’re thinking that our chicks like the chips better than the pellets. But the pellets don’t interfere with the water like chips do. Any comments?

When I first switched my birds over to pellets they didn't like it, and wouldn't eat. But it didn't take long before they realized the pellets were food too and started eating it.
I would just give them a little time with the pellets and see if they start eating them.

You know what? you are not alone. I don't know what chips are too. any information about it. I may use it for my chicks too.

I'm guessing you're talking about bedding in the bottom of brooder?
Wood shavings and wood pellets?
How old are your chicks @SNew ?
Why are the chips interfering with the water?
Raise the waterer, using bricks or wood blocks, to the height of chicks back to reduce amount of chips being kicked into it.
