First Treat for Week Old Chicks

One of my week old chicks has a very messy, nasty bottom... not pasty butt but something is going on... I read on one of the threads where someone recommended hard boiled egg for the protein, so tonight I did just that.

At first there wasn't any interest by any of the 18 chicks - they just stared at the little plate of egg. So I put some on my hand and a few chicks would peck it off... then a few more, then all heck broke loose!

They were so cute and funny - grabbing some egg and then being chased by everyone else! It got to be quiet a party with all of the chicks chattering and running around trying to get in on the action!

Does it wiggle its But when it Poops?
If it does take a wet WARM rag and wipe its bum.

I agree, take a warm wet rag and wipe off its little bottom.

I have been doing this. It hasn't hurt but hasn't helped too much, but I'm not giving up. It almost looks like her down/feathers are disappearing... there is more skin showing. Any other suggestions?
