First two chicks pipped externally, then died.

Two external pips, then found both dead. Seemed to be a lot of fluid--I suspect they drowned?

Both had whitish beaks.

Humidity must be too high during incubation. They didn't lose enough moisture.

I keep seeing different things about where to keep it. I am using a hovabator, and thought it was within the recommended range. Ugh.

Last hatch, I got 4/4 chicks, starting them in the hovabator and doing lockdown in the... I forget what it's called. Clear little dome incubator.

Best thing to do is watch the air cells yourself. I incubate at 40% humidity till lockdown. Generally that works for me. I lockdown at 60%
