First year raising chickens and anxiously awaiting our first eggs. We have 5 Easter Eggers and they are 22 weeks old.

Hi Joan and welcome to BYC. Waiting for those first eggs is a painful experience, but fingers crossed they start soon :fl

This is a useful link of BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3 (there's a guide on how to include your location under your avatar - including your location is very helpful). You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.

Best wishes

It will probably be spring when you get your first egg as winter take alot out of them. Feed plenty of whole corn when it starts cooling off. It's 100times better then cracked corn because when the kernel is cracked it dries out quickly and looses most of it nutritional value. Good luck with your flock and if you need any help just let us know.
:welcome
