Husband seems to have caught the self-sufficiency bug. He wants to raise fish partly to feed the chickens so we can raise food for them without resorting to so much commercial feed.

So, does feeding fish to chickens result in funky tasting eggs?

I haven't fed my birds fish regularly enough to tell a difference, but boy do they LOVE it!! I wouldn't think so though, since the ovaduct and the digestive tract are seperate until it's too late to matter....

It's not a big deal. Husband wants to raise Tilapia for the birds. We'd probably filet them and pass the rest to the birds.
I don't like fish, but we have limited pasture space to raise food. Aquaculture makes sense.

I just saw you're in Canby...we're in Corvallis. Hi neighbor!
