Fishing with my daughter

Went out along the Delaware river yesterday with my 8 yr old daughter. She caught this one all by herself with no help from dad at all. She was proud as a RIR rooster.(I was gonna say peacock, but we like chickens better).

Want to add that when I was a kid, fishing with my Dad was a very special thing, we did it a lot on the Chesapeake Bay and Lake Wateree in SC.

I always tell my DH I don't ever want our daughter to wonder if her dad loves her...lucky for us he never lets us down.

Awesome fishing weather today - my DH grew up in Andover and we live in the East Stroudsburg area now. Couldn't have asked for a nicer day!

Nice fish! It's great you take her fishing with you.
My best memories of my Dad are the times we went fishing.
Even if we didn't catch fish, we talked a lot about just about everything.
