Fishmeal for chickens?
Where to purchase?
How much to feed?
Can I grind-up 'fishmeal & potato' dog food as a source?
Can I offer it 'separately', like ground oyster shell?

I get fish meal where I get my feed, an Amish farmer that is a Fertrell dealer. I know the feed mill near here has fish meal plus, but not plain fish meal. The plus contains pig & poultry meal, so I don't get that. I have read about offering fish meal in a separate feeder, so I would think that would work. I would think your dog food would work, but you have to watch the salt etc. & I wouldn't offer that all the time. If you deal with a feed mill, ask if they have fish meal or if they can get it for you. I pay $43/50 lbs. I do have to split some & sell it so I don't keep it around too long. I think they say 6 months or so storage is best. Hope this helps.
