Deep down I think I know the answer to this, but I'm going to ask it anyway. I have one cockerel for certain, four other chicks have characteristics of cockerels coming. Is there anyway i could keep the cockerels? I've become attached. Could the cockerels have a flock of their own without hens? I know that If i keep the cockerels in with the hens then the hens will be over mated. Any solution? Eating them not an option. Cheers!

I know a lady who owns 7 roosters. She bought them from me when I discovered my "hens" are all boys. (Long story) Anyway, she only has the 7, no hens, and they live quite happily together on her farm.
