Hey! I'm new to this community, and I'm new at keeping chickens. I have 7 in total, (2 6-month old australorp cross, 3X four day old light sussex and 2X four day old ISA brown) All are good except for one ISA brown (I think they're sex linked? I think mine's female because it's brown, so I'm pretty hesitant to cull and don't really want to see that as an option just yet)

It can't really get very far without me holding it to balance, otherwise it just falls over. He can't walk (take steps), but it can stand as if a baby learning to walk was using something to hold itself up with. It has improved a little, the legs are in a stronger position. I've been feeding it 15mls of mash from a syringe two-three times a day (but it swollows a lot of air and farts a lot.) It seems as though it can't control his sphincter, and poo just hangs, but doesn't increase in size, from his bottom until I come along and wipe it off. I was worried I might make it's insides burst if it didn't poo eventually, so I ran a warm sink and pinched its bottom until lots of poo came out. What do you guys think? When it was first hatched, a brother/sister stepped on its neck and I'm wondering if there might be problems due to that, but this isn't consistent with the fact that he can still move his legs. It can't eat but it has learned to open its mouth when I come at it with a syringe. We're getting pretty good at it
I have separated it from the group but just in a cardboard box in the same box. I change water/feed the others three times a day (this photo was taken just before I did that)
If anyone has any advice to give from experience, I'd love to hear it!
