Five late bloomers? What is their chances?

Interesting! I had 4 from my first ever clutch not hatch. I took then out and candled on day 24. There was one pipped, and had been for nearly 48 hours. No movement or peeping. The second had broken the membrane and never pipped... No movement or sound. The other two were so dark, I couldn't tell... I left them all in for another 24 hours, but nothing... Maybe I'll give them a couple more days this time! I only had a 10/18 hatch rate on that first clutch, but they were eggs gifted to me by someone who bought them and then couldn't incubate them, so they had sat waiting for over 2 weeks, then only 14 were even viable by day 18.... So, 10/14 seems like a high hatch rate for old eggs... We only lost one newborn so far, but those babies are all only 5 or 6 days old... lol. I had already bought my own eggs when I was gifted those 18! So, we had hoped for, at most, 12 chicks, thinking wed get 8 or 10... I now have 16 and 5 still incubating. 🤣
lol my luck is so similar. If I want close to the amount of eggs I have, I get a terrible hatch rate. So next time I order a lot more than I even want to compensate and boom, 95%+ hatch rates. Poultry math sucks.

Depending on conditions they could get shrink wrapped in a little bit shorter amount of time, but not the few seconds it takes to grab an egg out of the bator for sure.
My eggs are in an indoor greenhouse. We used it to grow our own cannabis this winter before we could move the garden outside. Since it wasn't in use, we though it would be a good, controlled environment for incubators, but still has good air flow if I need it too. If I close it up a bit, I can get humidity in the room to 50%. 😅 I'll definitely candle any that aren't hatched by tomorrow night! Thank you! 😀

I'm trying for 15 hens and 2 roos. I have my roos, so the boys will all have to find new homes, or my hubby will make them freezer birds... 😬 I have 6 I got at 5 days old that are now about 7 weeks. I lost one, and think I have 2 roos and 3 hens. Then we were gifted 2 that are now 4 weeks old. They were sexed as female, so hoping that means I have 5 of my 15 hens... But even if I get 21 chicks here, my mom is taking 6 or 7... So, I will need one more hatching to get my 15 hens, I'm pretty sure... 😉

Obviously, the OEs are too dark for me to show on camera, but the air cells are intact, and moved to the side, but not as dramatically as EE#1.... I don't hear any pipping, and I don't see any movement, although I'd never know with the OEs.... I'm so sad! We had 4 OEs and only one hatched.... Had 3 EE and only one hatched.... But all 3 Marans hatched (they were not what we were trying to get. They were bonuses... 😜 I already have two Maran hens and one roo....)
