I was just curious to know how others feel about flax bedding. A lady at our local feed store was raving about it with her horses and was so excited about getting it at their store so I gave it a try and I love how absorbent it is. The smell seems to be pretty much gone in the coop. Another issue I was having was was the hens weren't really laying in the nest boxes but they can't make their little nests with it so they have started laying in the boxes now. I've only been using it for a couple weeks so I'm still waiting on the down side. I don't see it being very warm for winter but I'm liking it at the moment. Is it just that its newer that not many are using it or is there something I don't know yet? I can't find a whole lot of info on it being used with chickens.
