I am SICK of fleas!! ...on my dogs!!!
rant.gif

It's not like they bite ME--apparantly they like blondes and redheads--2 out of 5 of us are blonde and the fleas LOVE them.

Been
--treating the carpet
--flea bathing, flea dipping, Frontline-ing the dogs & cats

Dogs are STILL scratching, just less

ALMOST hoping for an early frost--no such luck, we don't live in Alaska.

Anybody else????? AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!

yup fleas are bad this year!!!! even with frontline our dogs/cats still have them!! its a never ending battle!!!

Found a flea this morning. I think my house dog has brought them inside after playing with outside dogs and cats. I keep flea collars on the animals, but I've not had good luck with the liquid drops. My Maltpoo had a bad skin reaction to it.

Fleas were bad last fall too.

I welcome some natural preventive methods.

I had a big problem too. I think the fleas are becoming immune to Frontline. It doesn't seem to be working as well as it did last year. I had an outbreak in my house. I treated the carpet with DE and it totally worked!

Try Advantage because it is less expensive but if that doesn't work Comfortis is the way to go. Great stuff!

Frontline didn't work this year on my animals either. What a huge waste of $$$.

DE works, but you have to keep rubbing it down in their fur every time it wears or washes off, and if you have long haired pets it's nearly impossible to get it through their fur to the skin to kill all the fleas.

I keep my yorkie clipped short esp in summer due to fleas, and they have been BAD this year I bath him in dawn dish detergent, and when he's dry spray with adams flea spray. since his hair is so short it doesn't take much for me to spray and rub him all over with it. marrie

I had the same problem last year. Frontline did nothing. The dogs were miserable and I was pulling my hair out! I switched to Advantage and have had no problems since. Truthfully I went most of the summer on the first dose of Advantage this year and still no problems.
I think they get immune to certain products after a time. Try switching over and see if it helps. If not, than I hear that a nuclear blast will take care of them.

G A R L I C .......I put powdered garlic in 2 of my cats food every other day. My 3rd cat eats garlic when we give him whatever we don't eat.
We don't have a flea problem.

Can dogs have garlic? It might help.
