Fleas around chickens eyes

My chickens have fleas near their eyes. How can I treat them without hurting the eyes and what should I use? Vinegar??? Baking Soda???

Get some 10% permethrin spray and mix up as strong a solution as you are comfortable using, then carefully apply with a needless syringe onto the fleas. After a day or so they should fall off.

The amount I just used was 1/2 ml concentrate and 2.5 ml water. Less concentrated might might, but that's what worked for me.

You can also pick them off with tweezers.

I tried a massive ivermectin dose first and they were still alive after 24 hours, so I can't be sure.

"Products based on macrocyclic lactones (e.g. ivermectin) used at the therapeitic dose will not control fleas, neither as injectables, nor as pour-ons, drenches, or feed additives."

Frontline might also work, but it's not labeled for use in poultry, so you aren't supposed to use it.
