hello.! i have a small flock that contains 12 hens and 1 rooster. i am incubating a dozen eggs shortly(hopeefull 100% hatching rate. crossing my fingers.) the flies are EVERYWHEREEEEEE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i need some advice on how to kill them. i read somewhere about putting stuff in a jar and watching the flies die. now i cant find the post.... help is much needed.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know here in Southern California we have local feed stores and they sell these fly traps that you add water to and hang up in the area where the flies congregate the most. These traps smell goooood-awful but they do a great job. The smell reminds me of rotting flesh but it only smells that bad if you get with in a foot of it. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of it, but I am certain Home Depot, Lowes, Osh or a feed store will have them. I bought mine at the feed store in Fullerton.
