I would love to know what everyone else does about fly control around your property. It is so stink in warm here already and the flies are thriving. We use the hanging fly traps and keep them out of reach of the dogs and ter animals, but looking for other ways to help control them too.

I rake the chicken run and hose it down every morning. I wash down the duck ponds every 2-3 days, and water buckets/bowls daily. also hose down their runs each morning. I use DE in the coop, around it and in and near the runs also. Just looking for more ideas.

I'd love to hear suggestions too. We are surrounded by horses, so we'll get them regardless, but man, I want to walk in my house without bring in 15 flying not so friends with me!

My sister buys these jugs at the feed store that come with fly repellent mix. She uses them in her back yard/patio area and they catch a TON of flies.

If it was what we tried, that stuff smells disgusting and I have to move it away from where we are. Can't use it inside at all. And it didn't work for a while until it really started to stink.
I did put it in the duck house for a while - put it in after cleaning it and close the door and then take it out before the ducks went to bed.
