Flies in food

How do I get rid of the flies? I know it's normal to have them around the food but just wondering if there is a way to reduce the flies? I have a clean coup, I actually clean it once a week...is that enough or maybe its the food I give them>?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Two....composting deep litter and fermented feed. I haven't seen a fly in my coop in 4 yrs now due to these two wonderful changes.

I agree with this!
I don't have many flies either, I mean, I do, but not over the top.

Good Lord!
Hang Vanilla car fresheners in the trees or on your run!
Flies like poop, hate vanilla!

Try it! Also use sand in your run and mix it twice a week!
