Flies!!!

[Hollywood Chickens]

My hens are free range, there are no predator's here so they sleep in a playhouse at night, and during the day they have a fenced in area to play and eat in every day I hose down their house and rake over their poo and there are still hundreds of flies!!
I can't get rid of them! I covered the compost and recycling bins and clean the whole area every day and there are still flies!

Do you have any suggestions on how to get rid of them?

Diatomacious earth might help. It hasn't totally eliminated mine, but I notice if I remember to sprinkle it on the shavings, there are less. I also started building fly traps. Not sure if that will get of the rest. We'll see.
