Float test

I understand that if eggs do not hatch, as a last resort you can test them in 100 degree water to see if they will sink or swim(so to speak) What I wonder is; Can you do the float test on day 18 before lock down to separate the floaters from the sinkers?I,m new- hope you haven't already had discussios on this point before.

Everything I have read says the same as you pointed out. It is a last resort.......................
I would not take the chance of messing with them before lock down........................
