Flock Blocks

I want to make a flock pecking block for my chickens. Anyone have any recipes that are good for chickens, layers in specific? I've found a few online, but I want to make sure.

Also, I have chicks and I want to spoil them a little. I found a recipe that from what I can see looks good, except for the scratch and oyster shells. Is this okay for them? If not, are there any other chick recipes?

It looks yummy (for chickens!) but it's a treat. If you give them a big one, they may eat it exclusively until it's gone and ignore their balanced diet. That's what my flock did, the one time I offered a block. Now I just offer scratch and treats in moderation instead.
