Morning roosters!!! Lol, I have a buff orphington and a black sex link that are just about ready to start laying and have a around 4-5 week old silkie. Am wondering how to integrate the little one so she can hang with the big girls. Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Pictures to come!

Temporarily divide the coop and run so they can see each other. Monitor them for signs of acceptance....likely the big girls will see the newcomer as a threat, and could hurt a little shy silkie.....I'd leave them separated like this for at least month before attempting anything further...
Good luck!!

We let them mingle a little bit this weekend and the leader of the two girls seemed to peck my little silkie quite a bit and the other one could care less about her. AS of now we have the silkie in her brooder which is set inside the coop/run so the hens can see her but not touch or peck her. Trying to figure out how soon we can integrate her into the flock so she can become one of the girls? Ant ideas?!?!?!?1
