Flock Mix. Am I asking for trouble?

. I have a small flock. 3 cuckoo Marans and 2 americaunas, All hens. All 6-8 weeks old.

There's a guy that will take my roos and trade me for them. I can get either 3 RIR (6 weeks old) or 3 sex linked reds (ready to lay) Which would be better to introduce to my small group?

Any advice (and reasoning behind it) would be extremely helpful for this newby chicken guy!

The 6 week old RIRs would be my choice. Same age chicks are easier to integrate.

RIRs would be better to introduce. No, you are not asking for trouble, but do reaserch quarentine periods--you might want to wait a month to introduce RIRs so you can quarentine them first.
