Flock O' Forbes New Coop

So here it is! With the arrival of our babies (2 Silver Laced Wyandottes and 3 EE's) on November 16th my husband started the coop plans. He and I scowered the internet trying to find a design that we liked and my husband came across "the one" and here is what the outcome was.....





The coop is 4X4 with a 12X4 enclosed run. The run has a real roof with hardwire cloth on the sides of the run. The siding is pallets. We have three nesting boxes and a poop board under the roost and plenty of ventilation.

We decided to use sand in the run. We also have a roosting pole in the run so the girls can roost while they are outside

The cinderblocks are now flush with the coop and hardware cloth has been buried to stop animals from digging

Wow, very nice looking coop! And I see you are using sand. I recently switched to sand and I LOVE it! Enjoy the new digs!
