We've had our flock for a little over a year now. They're great laying hens and our rooster is the most gentlemanly guy we've owned so far. We'll be moving into a place that doesn't allow chickens in the next few months and so will have to say goodbye. In the Texas heat, we usually allow them in an air-conditioned garage when temperatures reach 100 or over. Our hope is that they'll go to an equally "spoiling" type of home. This seems a bit much to many chicken owners, but we find that their egg production remains stable throughout the long summer months with this! We are happy to deliver the chickens to anywhere in Texas.
