These are my ladies. "They are the most spoiled hens in the chicken universe" according to my husband.
They all still lay consistently for their age. Free range since they were pullets. Most very tame. I need to find the perfect home for them to live out the rest of their natural lives together. They are quite bonded to each other. (They even tolerate the one flighty little Hamburg)
My personal health problems prevent me from being there for them, and I need to lighten my daily load of care-taking. I'm not against a dedicated beginner taking them, because I remember all the special attention I gave my hens when I first started keeping chickens many years ago.
I would like visitation rights, that's why I'd like them to stay within the Sacramento Area. I'm willing to providing some monthly financial assistance to keep them healthy. I know there is an active chicken community here in Sacramento. I will be seeking them out, also, for advice, help or leads. I will miss my ladies immensely but knowing they are with a dedicated owner will help a lot.
I know it's a big number of birds to move in one lot. I'm not against euthanizing the very old ones/special needs and moving on the younger.
Forgive me if I take a while to respond to your inquiries. I'm on the mend from an accident. This is hard for me. Kind advice is always welcome!
