Hatching
Tonight, my very small flock of chickens was attacked by most likely a raccoon. One chicken is completely missing and the other one was left tramitized, but luckily with minor wounds. There were only two birds to begins with and now I'm afraid that the one who is left will just die from shock. We are just trying to get her through the night. She is only 6 weeks old and I've come to love them both so much I don't want to lose the one I have left.
Is it possible that my single chicken can die from shock? Also would it be beneficial or harmful to add another chicken within a few days? I just don't want my girl to be lonely and sad after losing her only flock mate
