I am making a raised coop and I have read a couple of posts that talk about raccoons getting though the floor of there coops . I have raccoons in my hood .I used 1/2 inch plywood and have vinyl flooring with 2x4 screwed across it every 16 inches (coop is 4ftx4ft) the bottom will also be part of the run . Do you think this is ok or should I do more .

Are you putting anything around the bottom on the outside to keep things out?

If the floor isn't wire, I doubt the coon will get though it. Often raised coops have wired floors and a coon can tear though thinner wire no problem. Chicken wire to a coon is nothing. A coon out here leanred how to open latches too... he's gone now.
