What kind of floor/bedding do you have outside for your quail?

Do i use wire or could i use bedding from petsmart or petco?

I use 1/2 hardware cloth,..If were talking Cots or Bobs They do fine on 1/2 x1 welded wire also..cva34

I have mine is a pretty large bunny hutch type construction we built. 3/4 of it is wire and inside there's a shelter/house area with a wood floor. I use shavings on the wood floor. I prefer shavings over straw and hay for cleanliness. I have a door right there so I can easily scrape out the old shavings and put in new.

You can use wire, as stated here by cva34, or you can use wood shavings, grass hay or even that corn cob bedding. If you do keep them on wire, always offer them a place to get off the wire, like a sand box area or even an area that does have some bedding. Helps keep the feet healthy.
