Fluid in my hens chest???

Hello i have a hen We have had her 2 years she is a very loved pet and i hate the idea of having to kill her. She has recently been showing Signs of Fluid in her chest , sometimes She throws her head up like shes choking on something , and has a hard time walking, Her chest seems to grow each day its in the front .. Idont know exactly too much about chickens , I just have been raising them for a while and this is my first sickness!!! please help me !!
Her chest is droopy. and it feels fluid like.
as u Can see here the skin is now purple underneath.
Her chest was much smaller than this before.

I have this same issue. I am familiar with huge crops on greedy birds. This seems to be the chest in general - not on the right side - and its very squishy and fluid. Birds seems fine but walks clumsily.

Well luckily, there isn't actually fluid in her body cavity or lungs. The lump is her crop. However, it staying large and growing is still a problem, and most likely sour crop. This article should help a lot. You'll need to help her remove the blockage, and perhaps throw up some of the junk, then deal with any secondary infections caused by the grossness that sat in her crop.

As long as the crop goes down overnight its just a greedy eater, however this person says the hens crop has been steadily getting larger for multiple days, which means a blockage.

The crop is that big??? Oh dear. I will try making her yak, I guess...

Your hen's crop looks unusually big, though it could be normal if it goes down each night. The article I posted tells exactly how to help them throw up, I recommend it to anyone dealing with sour or impacted crop troubles.

That link you posted is a dead link now. “404 Not Found” I have run into this issue with one of our younger hens, not yet laying. Her crop has been oversized, today will be the third day. Last night I squeezed it and made her yak, but it’s big again today so she must still be blocked. How else can I help her? I wish the article linked still worked, it sounds like it would have been just what I needed.
