Does anyone one here use Fly Parasites to help control their fly population? Do they work? How often do you have to release them?

Where do you order yours from? What is a good price for them?

For those of you thinking "what are fly Parasites" it's basically a little bug (a wasp actually) These tiny wasps (about the size of a flea) are the main natural enemies of flies. They find fly pupae, and subsequently parasitizing them.

They are very specific in their host, and pose no harm or danger for humans and livestock..

haha I didn't even think about that. My chickens would probably end up eating them as well. Where did you used to order yours from?

go on line to Spalding Fly Predators that is where I purchased mine, I just released my first shipment two days ago so it will be a few weeks before I know how well it works. my total cost was about $79.00 and I will receive a total a four shipment this summer from them.

Wow, never heard of such a thing! Very interesting!
One of the sites I went to, can't say without looking in my history now, but it has some amazing information about the different types of flies, feeding, developing and what it does. Sounds gross, but that was just plain interesting! Thanks for this question and the answers!
(I love it when you can say you learned something new!)
