Young pullet just starting laying about 2 weeks ago. Rhode Island Red... She injured her leg and we Potter separated inside the house for approximately 2 weeks. She started using her leg again so we started letting her outside to hang out little by little with the rest of the block for a little bits of the day at a time. This morning my husband woke up couple of hours ago about three and a half hours ago now to be exact and went to go later out and seen her sitting oddly looking oddly and did a good look over on her and immediately noticed that her vent was prolapsed. So him half awake brought he brought her into me freaking out I got up out of bed took her into the bathroom in the light so I can get a better look at what was going on and sure enough she was protruded and maggots and there's a pocket with a couple of open wounds where the maggots were coming out sprayer with veteranite sprayed it with veteranized and first and foremost and then we did a spray off to get all of the poop off of her rear end Read a few posts on here and followed in the instructions next thing we did was we soaked her in warm soapy water about 20 minutes pulled out and off every little tiny bit baby maggot we could possibly get and have successfully not seen one since haven't gotten her out of the tub and dried off... Can somebody anybody tell me what to do from here and how to continue treating from this point on.
