2 of my silkie hens just hatched a few eggs. I have raised chicks in a brooder, but have not had chicks raised by the 'mom'. I have hanging feeders and waterers to help with cleanliness, but they are out of reach of the tiny chicks. Does the mom feed the chicks, or do I need to put food and water at ground level for them?

You have to provide chick starter/grower feed and fresh water for them at their level. Momma hen can eat the same thing. Make sure the waterers have some marbles or something in them for a few days so the chicks can't get in there and drown.
