Do I need to keep food and water in the coop at night when the weather is cool?

You shouldn't have to keep food and water in the coop at night period, cool weather or not. Food being left out at night attracts unwanted pests like rats and mice. It's best to keep it up at night.

not so much a function of cool weather, but keeping food and water in the coop can keep other birds and rodents out of their food.

My feeder hangs from the rafter and my waterer is raised and I keep them in the coop, but I also feed them in their run.
