So again 1st time duck mom. Our sweet Jackie has very recently started laying eggs. Every thing we have read says she should lay an egg every other day or so. Well so far she has laid every day. We have been feeding her a lot of fish pellets, veggies, worms, and fruits. She always seems to be starving. We have almost doubled her portions and she is actually getting food aggressive. She is normally so sweet. She is super spoiled. I am aware. She doesn’t hardly eat her poultry feed. What should we do? Are we feeding her enough? So worried about her.

Hello I have 3 MUSCOVY girls and a make jumbo Pekin
From my experience over past 3 years I learned that when I give them veggies or anything else besides the layer pellets then there body seems to always be missing nutrients needed
I read some stuff recently about how they need there regular feedings of pellets more than anything for calcium protein and many other things
So I backed down to giving them treats and veggies every 2 or 3 days after they eat there dinner I don't want to end up with sick ducks from missing nutrients if you know what I mean.
Oyster shells available in separate dish 24/7 for the girls and a spoonful of organic apple cider vinegar once a week to prevent bacteria
Sorry so long of a post hope it helps

How do you give them the ACV?

She sounds like the kid who is getting free access to Halloween candy, lol... I would actually stop the extras and just leave out her proper feed... better to have the balanced nutrition than eating more of some things and not others...
Cut out everything? But she’s already so hungry? Is there nothing else I can give her?

Yeah the poultry feed is really important for her
I was suprised myself that fruits and veggies we're like treats and not what she needed my girls took to eating the poultry feed but not the male he filled up on water being stubborn but he came around
