Quick question and thank you in advance....
How often do you feed your duck flock? Can they eat pinto beans? Cooked, along with wheat and whole kernel corn? They also get their flock raiser but they surely prefer the homemade foods! I look forward to your input!

I keep food out for the ducks from about 6 in the morning till about 10 at night (I take the food out of their pen overnight to reduce the attraction of other critters to their food).

I don't know about beans - sounds like they may be getting some burritos? Yum!

I supplement their Blue Seal grower/maintenance pellets with a handful of cat kibble, free choice oyster shell, and greens from weeding the garden. Every day or two they get a cup and a half of thawed frozen peas (there are eleven runners in our flock). I have started chopping up comfrey leaves and giving them once or twice a week, also. Slugs I pull out of the garden go to the ducks, as do some worms, and whatever they can catch in their pen or when I let them forage in the garden beds.
