Food & Water Placement

Where do you all keep food and water for outdoor ducks.

Do you keep it supplied inside the duck house or do you keep it outside? Or both?

What about squirrels...won't they eat all the food like its bird seed?

Both.. i have water bowls outside and in their barn, I also keep one covered food "trough" outside and then the regular feed bowls in the barn..

I actually don't really have squirrels here... we have had cute little red ones over the years but the larger ones tend not to come in these parts.. (to clarify they are in my country but just not staying around these parts)

However, in fairness the duck barn is located beside where the dogs are and i have a barn cat who hovers around, so a squirrel would probably be smart to stay away lol Plus i bet my Muscovy would go after one, they went after a teeny little wild rabbit one day~

For the main feed bag that is in my front hall, along with all the horses grain.. my front hall looks like a feed mill
