Foot abscess?

One of my girls started limping about a month ago. The top of her foot turned black and the bottom pad was swollen. I soaked in epsom salt daily, cleaned with Betadine and applied antibiotic cream then wrapped it. It seems to be healing, then will get angry again. Yesterday, I noticed the top of her other foot was turning black, so I doused in Betadine. This morning it was open and bleeding, but no swelling. I cleaned with betadine, applied antibiotic cream and wrapped. The original wound won’t heal, and now the other foot is afflicted. She’s moving around, eating and drinking. Her feathers do look pretty rough, but my whole flock is moulting. We have no local chicken veterinarian. How can I help this girl? Does she need an oral antibiotic? Is this a sign of something more nefarious in my flock? Egg production has been down all summer for all of them, but we did introduce new chicks this year, two of which turn out to be roosters. Thanks in advance for making it to the end and for any advice!

Are her feet being pecked by her or others? What is the % of Betadine on your bottle? 10% is okay but any stronger may burn. Betadine can also stain some. I might apply some Vaseline every other day to the legs and feet apart from the part that you are applying antibiotic cream to, just in case of possible leg mites.

Thanks! The Betadine is 5%. She is lower in the pecking order. So I suppose it’s possible she’s getting pecked. She definitely was pecking at the wraps I put on. I’ll apply Vaseline starting tomorrow.
